📜 Our Story
Our story begins with Pirate Henry Every—one of history's most successful and elusive pirates. In 1695, he led the legendary heist of the Ganj-i-Sawai treasure ship and vanished without a trace. Disney drew inspiration from Every for the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions, including the infamous "Pooped Pirate" scene.
My great-grandfather Richard "Dick" Every was an Imagineer of his own, crafting elaborate themed parties and Halloween haunts with hand-built props, painted sets, and a foil-backed UV blacklight—the very same blacklight that still illuminates our Dead Man's Passage attraction today.
In 2015, we built our first haunted house in Santa Clara, CA. From PVC pipes and black tarps, it featured our first animatronics and pneumatic cannon props. From 2019-2021, our haunt won the city's annual Halloween decorating competitions. We moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon, continuing this tradition.
Each year, we've grown and refined our haunted experience—pushing the limits of immersion and storytelling. What began as a small passion project has evolved into a large-scale experience where guests don't just walk through a haunted house; they step into an adventure.
